Pastor

Dan Moushey

Pastor Dan Moushey is a native of Granite Falls, having attended our schools since Kindergarten. Excelling in multiple sports, Dan had dreams of playing pro-baseball, but his life took a tragic turn on Crooked Mile Road. At the impressionable age of 15, Dan was in a horrific accident that claimed his girlfriend’s life, injured two other passengers in the car and nearly took his life as well. He survived the accident but broke his back, lost his leg and his dreams of playing baseball. God had other plans for him and Dan was able to trade his empty life plans for everlasting hope in Jesus Christ.

Although he spent his youth in sin and rebellion, soon after he married, he gave his heart to God. Now with a growing family, life changed as he put away his old self and lived to please God. He burned with desire to share the Good News with everyone he met.  It was only a matter of time before he accepted the call into full-time ministry. Dan pastored Granite Church (previously known as Christ Community Church) from early 2000 until 2017. However, due to a family health crisis, they had to move away for almost 10 years. Their desire and readiness to move back to this area coincided with an opening in the pastoral position, so Dan and Kim made the prayerful decision to accept the call.

Pastor Dan and Kim were blessed to homeschool and raise 5 wonderful children. God continues to bless as they are now surrounded by 11 grandchildren! When Pastor Dan isn't ministering, he spends his free time delighting in his family, fishing with his wife, or enjoying a good steak.

Pastor Dan’s unique testimony of Jesus' power to save is included in his testimony book, Crazy Hope, available on Amazon. You can also check one out from our library or purchase one, with a donation, from our bookstore.
